Resveratrol is a polyphenolic compound with antioxidant activity and is commonly found in grapes, wine, blueberries, cranberries, and peanuts. While it can can be found in red wine, the amounts can vary widely, depending on the wine, the maximum amount of bio-availability being 20%. In comparison, Japanese Knotweed (the source of the resveratrol in this compound), provides up to 50% bio-available trans-resveratrol content. A capsule of Resveratrol Ultra provides 500mg of Japanese Knotweed, for a 250mg dose of resveratrol.
